Getting Back to Work
In my last post, I wrote about what made me make the transition from HR professional to professional (and certified!) coach. Times have definitely changed in the workplace-some for the better. You know what hasn’t really changed? How hard it is for moms (or really anyone) to return to work after the dreaded “employment gap”.
When I started my new venture, I teamed up with Samantha Oughtred of SAM+PR to help me with my branding and website. She told me her passion was to help women (especially mothers) to become financially stable and was in the process of obtaining her non-profit status for The Mom Net.
Just as I received my certification for coaching, The Mom Net received its charitable status. Sam and I knew it was kismet. Creating The Mom Net’s first workshop together to help moms get back to work is exactly how we wanted to each start our new ventures.
In this workshop, we cover getting over the guilt of returning to work, writing your resume, creating momentum, and getting in the right mindset to attain your goals.
What better way to kick off my new career than to connect with some of the very people I yearned to help during my 30 years in Human Resources? I cannot wait to connect with these mothers to help, as The Mom Net’s mission is to empower women to reclaim themselves and ignite their passions beyond “mom”.
